Sara Schwarz Groden '76
- Established a Boston College athletic standard of 112 career
wins and set records in 13 different events, a feat of
versatility that is unmatched at the Heights.
- Finished her varsity swimming career as BC's all-time
scoring leader.
- Won five individual Greater Boston championships; was All-
New England three times; and All-East twice. She was BC's
Most Valuable Swimmer in three different seasons.
- Co-captain of the Eagles in her junior and senior seasons.
- High scorer and three-time Water Polo MVP.
- After graduation, Sara served Boston College as Assistant
Swimming coach, Women's Water Polo coach, and later as
Director of Sports Promotion.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1981.
