Chet Gladchuk '41
- All-America center on Boston College's storied 1940 Cotton
Bowl and 1941 Sugar Bowl teams.
- Nicknamed "The Gentle Giant" for his formidable size, yet
amiable demeanor, Chet followed his playing days at Boston
College with a distinguished career in the National Football
League, and later, as a college football coach.
- Chet is also enshrined in the National Football Foundation
Hall of Fame.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1970.
