T. Edmund Garrity '23
- A "60 minute player" at right wing and defense for the
Eagles' legendary hockey teams of the era, which claimed two
consecutive American College Championships.
- Captain of the hockey team as a senior, leading the squad to
a 12-1-1 record.
- An outstanding golfer as well, he has devoted a lifetime of
involvement and support to this fine sport.
- In 1949, he was co-founder of the Ouimet Scholarship Fund,
which has enabled thousands of young caddies in this region
to attend the college of their choice.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1985.
