Edward M. Gallagher '32
- On the diamond, he was a fire-balling left-handed pitcher
who led the Eagles to an era of unprecedented baseball
success.
- An able, fast, and fearless football end who played both
ways for the gridiron Eagles.
- He later played professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox.
- His service to Boston College transcended the playing
fields, as he was elected President of the Alumni
Association from 1955-56.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1976.
