Jack Flanagan '59
- The leading receiver for the football Eagles over his four varsity seasons, this sure-handed pass-catcher and hard-blocking end was a key contributor to the Boston College passing and running attacks of the era.
- The durable and dependable athlete led Boston College in scoring as a senior, earning All-New England honors for his high level of play. Even more importantly, he captured the prestigious Thomas F. Scanlan Memorial Award as the team's outstanding scholar-athlete.
- After graduation, he played professional football with the NFL's Chicago (now Arizona) Cardinals.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
