Walter J. Dubzinski, Sr. '41
- A resourceful, determined, and complete football player, he
was a fullback before becoming a center and linebacker on
Boston College's 1940 Cotton Bowl team and 1941 Sugar Bowl
and National Championship squad.
- Was named the Eagles' "Most Improved Player" by his
teammates and coaching staff.
- After a two-year National Football League career that was
shortened by military service, he became one of this
region's most successful high school football coaches. He is
a member of the Massachusetts High School Coaches Hall of
Fame.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1994.
