Bill Donovan '62
- A three-year starter and team captain his senior season,
Bill Donovan totaled 1,012 points in his collegiate career,
becoming just the fourth 1,000-point scorer in school
history.
- Playing alongside fellow Hall of Famer Jim Hooley, Donovan
averaged 14.5 points per game while leading his squads to a
combined 40-29 record during his three-year career with the
Eagles.
- An expert outside shooter, many feel that Donovan could have
posted even greater scoring numbers had he played during the
current three-point era, since most of his baskets came from
long range.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 2000.
