George Desnoyers '63
- A two-time All-America hammer thrower, he won the NCAA
championship in the event in his senior season.
- Established a Boston College hammer throw record of
194'1-1/2''.
- New England champion in both hammer throw and discus in
1962, leading Boston College to the region's team
championship.
- A versatile and talented athlete, he also successfully
competed in pole vault, shot put, javelin, high jump, and
dash events during his splendid collegiate career.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1987.
