Bob DeFelice '63
- A top-notch defensive catcher and career .300 hitter, he
helped the baseball Eagles advance to the College World
Series in Omaha in 1960 and 1961.
- Also was the Eagles’ backstop as they earned berths in the
NCAA District I playoffs in 1962 and 1963.
- After graduation, he played in the Boston Red Sox
organization before embarking on a highly-successful
coaching career at both the high school and collegiate
levels.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1985.
