09/07/2012 Nine Athletes Inducted Into Varsity Club Hall Of FameBC honors former athletes at induction ceremony in Conte Forum. 06/22/2012 Nine Athletes to be Inducted into the BC Varsity Club Hall of FameHonorees will be feted on September 7 Maria Cicero '05 - A four-time All-America selection in cross-country (three times) and track, she is one of the premier distance runners ever to wear Boston College's Maroon and Gold. - Set the BC record in the 10,000-meter run (33:53.77) at a national meet and is the only Eagle runner to finish in the Top 20 of the Cross-Country National Championships in three separate seasons. This fleet-footed athlete qualified for five NCAA Championship competitions: three in cross country and two in track. - Four time All-BIG EAST honoree - three in cross-country; one in track. Won the BIG EAST 10,000-meter title as a senior. - She was the 2002 USA Cross-Country Junior Champion and a member of Team USA at the World Championships. - Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. |
