Bernie Burke '50
- With instant reflexes and tremendous ability, this Eagle
netminder remains one of the outstanding goalies in Boston
College Hockey history.
- Received All-East, All-New England, and All-America honors
in his senior campaign.
- Serving as team captain, he helped lead the Eagles to the
New England, Eastern, and National Championships in 1949.
- Following his graduation, he served as an assistant hockey
coach under Boston College legends Coach "Snooks" Kelley and
Coach Len Ceglarski.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1973.
