- An All-America wide receiver who established Boston College
pass-catching records for a career (115) and season (66).
His career (2180) and season yardage (1149) totals also set
Eagle football standards.
- Winner of the Nathaniel J. Hasenfus "Eagle of the Year"
Award as outstanding male athlete in his graduating class.
- As an intelligent and sure-handed receiver, he enjoyed a
long and successful National Football League career with the
Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and San Diego
Chargers.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1994.
