Alfred W. Branca, M.D. '39
- His spirit and leadership were instrumental in the founding
of the Blue Chips organization in 1969. He has been one of
the driving forces behind the continuing and ever-growing
flow of private support to Boston College athletics through
Blue Chips.
- A former President of the Boston College Alumni
Association, Dr. Branca was the 1973 winner of the McKenney
Award as the University's outstanding alumni.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1981.
