Cara Blumfield '03
- Boston College's first All-America athlete in the sport of softball, this hard-hitting and record-setting shortstop led the Eagles to championship levels.
- As a junior, she hit a sizzling .445 - earning All-America and All-Northeast Region accolades and ranking among the nation's top 10 batters.
- In her senior season, she started all 56 games and helped lead the Eagles to the BIG EAST regular-season conference championship and a berth in the NCAA Championship Tournament.
- She set numerous Boston College career softball records, including games played (208); batting average (.348); runs scored (123); and runs batted in (127).
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.
