Boston College 15th in Sears Directors' Cup
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College is tied for 15th
place in the latest Sears Directorsı Cup rankings, based on
performances from the fall season. With 30 points, BC is tied
with Florida, Michigan State and Nebraska. Stanford is the
nationıs top school with 180 points.
The Sears Directorsı Cup ranks the top 25 NCAA Division I athletic programs, based an institutionıs finish in as many as 20 sports -- 10 menıs and 10 womenıs sports in NCAA menıs and womenıs fall championships. Championships included in this ranking are field hockey and menıs and womenıs cross country.
Boston College had two teams earn NCAA Championship berths during the 1997 fall season -- field hockey and womenıs cross country.
