-In wrestling, an All-America heavyweight who qualified for the NCAA Championship Tournament in three seasons.

-Honored as Outstanding Wrestler by East Coast Wrestling Association in 1999 and 2000; won ECWA Heavyweight title in each of those seasons.

-A stalwart defensive end in football, he made 172 tackles, including 23.5 for minus-yardage and 12 QB sacks in four varsity seasons. Earned All BIG EAST honors for his play in 2001.

-After graduation, played professional football as a defensive lineman for the NFL's Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears.
