- This diminutive guard led the Eagles to postseason play in
each of his four seasons at the Heights, reaching the NCAA
Tournament's Elite Eight in 1982 and its Sweet 16 in 1985.
- Adams served as captain for the 1982-83, 1983-84 and 1984-85
squads, and was an All-BIG EAST selection in each of those
years. He still ranks eighth on BC's all-time scoring list
with 1,650 points. He also registered 475 career assists,
placing him fourth on BC's career list. In addition, Adams'
275 career steals rank second all-time in the BIG EAST and
lead all BC defenders.
- Upon leaving the Heights, Adams played for the NBA's Denver
Nuggets, Washington Bullets, and Charlotte Hornets,
culminating in his selection to the 1992 NBA All-Star Game.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1997.
