Men's Basketball Reaches Fourth Sellout; Tickets Remain for Upcoming Men's Hockey and Women's Basketball Games

Jan. 11, 2010

Chestnut Hill (January 11, 2010) - The Boston College Athletics Department today announced that four of the Eagles' seven remaining home men's basketball games are now sold out.  Although games against Maryland, Florida State, Duke and North Carolina are listed as sellouts, fans are encouraged to visit www.bceagles.com/eaglemarketplace where they often can purchase tickets posted for sale by other season ticket holders.

The men's basketball team has started the season off with a 10-6 record including wins over Providence, Michigan, Miami, UMass and South Carolina.  The team is looking to gain momentum in the New Year as it enters the ACC portion of its schedule and drives toward another postseason tournament appearance.  A limited number of tickets remain available for the Eagles' games against Clemson, Virginia Tech and Virginia with tickets starting at just $10 for the Virginia game, $15 for the Virginia Tech game and $20 for the Clemson game.  Fans can purchase tickets online at www.bceagles.com, by phone at 617-552-GoBC (4622) or by visiting Boston College's ticket office located at Conte Forum.

The women's basketball team will be hosting some of the ACC's best, including Georgia Tech, Duke and Maryland.  Groups of 20 or more are encouraged to take advantage of BC's special free game group sampler, where your group can attend a women's basketball free of charge.  For those groups who wish to attend a second game, group tickets will be available at just $2 per ticket for groups of 20 or more.  Join the Eagles in their support of breast cancer awareness on February 14, when they host Wake Forest at 2:00 p.m. during the Pink Zone/NCAA Pack the House Challenge promotion.  Fans 18 and younger will get in for free just by wearing the color pink to the game.  The Eagles will wrap up the regular season versus Maryland on February 25 at 7:00 p.m.  Join BC in saluting seniors Ayla Brown, Mickel Picco and Brittanny Johnson from the class of 2010.  Individual tickets for all games start at just $5.

The seventh-ranked men's ice hockey team, which has won two national championships and appeared in eight Frozen Fours in the last 12 years, is off to another strong start.  Led by Head Coach Jerry York, the Eagles are poised to build off their successful first half of the season and compete for this year's Hockey East and national championships.  Individual game tickets are available for all remaining home games including Providence, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and the final regular season matchup with archrival Boston University.  Tickets start as low as $10 in the Shaw's Family Sections for all games with the exception of the Boston University game.
