Boston College Men's Soccer Camp Staff


ED KELLY - Boston College

Coach Kelly is entering his 26th season as a head coach and 23rd year as head coach of Boston College. Including the 2007 ACC Tournament title, he has now led his teams to six conference tournament title -- five in The Big East and one in The ACC. He guided Seton Hall to two Big East Tournament titles in his three years as head coach of the Pirates and led BC to three Big East championships. As a player, Coach Kelly has had much success. He is a former U.S. National Team member, and has competed at the highest levels. Coach brings with him many years of coaching experience from youth to the college level, and currently holds a USSF "A" License. He has assembled a staff second to none, comprised of top college coaches.

 

 

 

 

 

SERGIO SACCOCCIO - Boston College

Sergio Saccoccio enters his second season as a member of Ed Kelly's staff after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Northeastern University. Saccoccio enjoyed a successful goalkeeping career with the Huskies, where he was a four-time all Conference selection and a three-time All Regional selection.

 

 

 

 
 

 

 

Kevin Nylen - Boston College

Kevin Nylen, a first-team All-America selection at Saint Anselm College and the 2002 Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year, is in his second season as an assistant coach on Ed Kelly's staff. He began his coaching career in August of 2009 after completing a six-year professional playing career. Nylen made the move to BC from Amherst College after a season on the Lord Jeffs' staff.

 

 

 

 
 

 

 

Darren Murray - Boston College

Darren Murray enters his first season as an assistant coach on Ed Kelly's staff. Murray returns to Boston College after serving as the head coach of Endicott College the last four seasons. Murray served as an assistant coach on Kelly's staff for two seasons in 2006 and 2007 before leaving to lead the Gulls. He has also spent time as head coach of the New England Aztecs (2006-present), Newbury College (2005-07) and the South Shore United Blazers soccer club (2002-05). Before assuming head coaching duties, Murray spent two years (2002-03) with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer and three years with Mercyhurst (Pa.) College (1999-2002).
